my thoughts, I share.

I've been having fun checking out the snippets at the Spn&J2 BB check-in post. I'm all cocky now because I have a beginning, a middle and an end, heck yeah! It'll be a pretty short BB but what the hey, I'm 99 percent sure that I'll have a finished fic come posting time!

I'm also working hard on my next update for Come The Night. This part is so hard to work on, because I know what's coming next is going to be really intense and these next few chapters are just the bits that get us there. It's hard to work on something when all you can think of is what happens next. I try not to but I always kind of shortchange the transition bits. This, I assume, is what separates pro fiction from the campfire stories. :)

OMG, yes. Sometime when the genesis for a story is a moment of intense action or emotion or even just a couple of lines, i want to write that part *so bad* but i know if i do....

I'll never do the rest.
*flail*

Dude - campfire stories *are* profic. They came *first*.

*smooches you*

I find it interesting that I'm the exact opposite - I need to write down the pivotal scenes that come to me while they're fresh, or I'll forget my original vision for the story when I'm filling in the rest of it.

That is interesting. The original scene is something i see in my head over and over, kind of like a video.

......i really need to get writing on my big bang. I've got...two original scenes just sort of...marinating in my brain. :)

Amused, I am. ;D

Congrats, I salute your diligence! My BB is totally not happening, seeing as I'm still slaving away over on kinkmeme. I'm having fun and practicing, though, so that's all that really matters to me.

Yeah, the pro-stuff generally has more polish, but I find the "campfire stories" often have more heart. And are waaay less rigid about sticking some hot sex in with the plotty stuff. :D

I hope your BB gets unstuck--even though I'm glad your working on the wolf story! *GGGG*

The best part of writing is always the fun of it. I remind myself that it's fun when I'm sobbing into the keyboard, hah!

WORD! I know that feel, Snuggles, thus my unintentional inability to sit down and write the last of my silly SV x-over fic. I keep hoping I'll just wake up one morning and the story elves will have finished it for me during the night. :/ Damn elves! They're never there when you need them!

ETA: I didn't mean to make this all about me! Alack! Congratulations, hon, on being well on your way to Bangin'! I hope tons of people read your story and then flock over here to gobble up the others--not that readership is a problem for you. You're a pretty well known broad 'round these parts, but-- uh, the more, the merrier? (I need coffee.)

*congratulatory hugs*

I wish the damn story elves would come finish my fics too. It's a crappy feeling to go gung-ho on something and then hit a wall when you near the end. Tell you what, we'll trap those suckers and threaten them with something unpleasant, I don't know.

It's funny you say pretty well-know. I feel like once upon a time I was, hah! I'm sure most people in SV fandom have no idea who I am, and god knows I've sunk into SpN fandom like a tiny little stone, without a ripple. *siiiiiiiiiiigh*
