gosh! blab!

This weekend was chockful of excellent SpN stories! Didn't I post a whine about declining quality? Tsk! And SpN gen, stop fluttering those sultry lashes at me--I'm all about the slash, dag-nabit.

I also got comments on my story, so today I am mighty pleased and *koff* sorta embarrassed, hah!

Countdown to the spnj2BB! It's like Christmas only without the goofy sweaters! Excuse me while I whip out my bangicon!

>spnj2BB

In my old age, I am becoming a bit dyslexic. I thought that said "spn2BJ." :)

DO NOT QUESTION.

May I just say, this is the most bizarre amusing comment battle I've read in ages! XD

And now I'm trying to envision what a Sam/Dean sweater vest would entail. Impala shaped buttons? A boy on each side? Anti-possession charm above the heart?

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2012-06-05 12:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Oooooo--Impala buttons! I want a vest like that!

yeah, the vest thing got kind of...out of control, heeee! :)

Woot! So happy for you!

I was thrilled!! And felt a little like a whiny-baby true, but hey, so what! Comment!

1) I think it's human nature.

2) Venting can be healthy sometimes. It helps to decompress every once in a while. :)

3) Discovering that it's "normal" or "isn't just you" can also be therapeutic.

But Roxy! This is a fandom filled with INCREDIBLE GEN!!
this for instance : Swing Low by the incredibly talented [livejournal.com profile] roque_clasique. Have you read this? It is a spec fic for season 8 and it will get you right in the EVERYTHING.
SPN gen is some of the very best gen around ( and those are DOE EYES not sultry eyes by the way, designed to make your heart ache) and if you have not explored you totally should.
Also if you havent I suggest you start with the authour above. I swear to god this woman... everything she writes is terrific.

[livejournal.com profile] roque_clasique is a genius, yes! And you're right, I must read everything she's written because I've just kind of picked here and there--I'm a picker. :) I'm following a few Gen stories here and there and I find in this fandom, slash and gen are almost twins. Lucky me!

And thanks much, my dear!

And SpN gen, stop fluttering those sultry lashes at me--I'm all about the slash, dag-nabit.

You know, I started out strictly Gen (reading and writing)--so I know all too well that there's some booty hurt amongst the Gen crowd over slash getting all the attention--and then drifted over into slash and that's primarily what I read and write now. But every once in a while, (and [livejournal.com profile] apreludetoanend and I talked about this a couple of years ago) a Gen story will catch my attention and I wind up reading it all the way through and I'm reminded just how truly, stunningly wonderful a lot of our Gen writers are. They really, really don't get enough credit.

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2012-06-04 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
They really, really don't get enough credit.

It's true--the stories I've read are brilliant and funny and sad and so well written that I don't even miss the extra. Besides, in this fandom, the guys are so close in canon that it's practically slash anyway. They love each other like crazy and I enjoy seeing it played out with or without smoochies.
