This weekend was chockful of excellent SpN stories! Didn't I post a whine about declining quality? Tsk! And SpN gen, stop fluttering those sultry lashes at me--I'm all about the slash, dag-nabit.

I also got comments on my story, so today I am mighty pleased and *koff* sorta embarrassed, hah!

Countdown to the spnj2BB! It's like Christmas only without the goofy sweaters! Excuse me while I whip out my bangicon!

You know, I started out strictly Gen (reading and writing)--so I know all too well that there's some booty hurt amongst the Gen crowd over slash getting all the attention--and then drifted over into slash and that's primarily what I read and write now. But every once in a while, (and [livejournal.com profile] apreludetoanend and I talked about this a couple of years ago) a Gen story will catch my attention and I wind up reading it all the way through and I'm reminded just how truly, stunningly wonderful a lot of our Gen writers are. They really, really don't get enough credit.

It's true--the stories I've read are brilliant and funny and sad and so well written that I don't even miss the extra. Besides, in this fandom, the guys are so close in canon that it's practically slash anyway. They love each other like crazy and I enjoy seeing it played out with or without smoochies.
