I'm putting of bifocals too, but I think it's time. I can see perfect without any glasses from like 5-12" from my face, and not well at all with glasses or without from like 12-20", and fine with my glasses from 12"+. It's annoying. And I can't figure out how bifocals will make that better? And anyway, the flexible spending account is empty already.

I guess in most things besides glasses-wearing and certainly with regard to pornage, slipping and sliding would be a plus. Alas, the gods of porn are capricious and easily amused by the troubles of mere mortals such as yourself. My deepest sympathies on this, a terrible porn-tragedy of great proportion!
I have tri-focals. I've had them so long it's time for new ones. I end up taking them off for close distances instead of tipping my head way back the way I'm supposed to to actually see through them.
It doesn't interfere with my porning and I can't see yours slowing you down any either. Good luck!

My bad vision is interfering with my parenting. i thought Sami had a little skin-snag-owie, and 2 days later, my husband pulled a 1/4" toothpick splinter out of her foot. :( Worst mom ever.
Mine took a week or so to get used to. Are you sure they're adjusted properly? Because that can make it worse. But then be sure to wear them all the time- switching around will just prolong your adjusting time.
Yuck! Mr. Twins has just ordered his first pair of bifocals, too. His haven't arrived yet, but he said he was tired of doing the trombone while reading, and he was getting eyestrain from peeking under his glasses to see things correctly. I hope you get used to them quickly. I wouldn't want you going into porn withdrawal.

Man. I've been wearing glasses that make me look like Drew Carey for the last couple of years. Now, I'm wearing a pair of glasses that while I can actually see, make me look like a granny. A mean pantieless granny. *koff*
When I had to get bifocals, I was already wearing contacts, so my doctor prescribed a distance lens for my right eye and a reading lens for my left eye (or vice versa, not sure). It worked really well for me.
Darn, I'll just have to let Jensen hand wave it...as it were. The porn just writes itself. And then comments to itself with mildly inappropriate gifs . Not like this one. ;)

I think the Royal We is always sort of creepy! To dissuade you from excavating my eyes and keeping them in a box, I'd like to point out that they aren't that pretty--the flash made them like, 1000% more blue
It's amazing how we can adjust to things. Some people can't do the contact lens thing--my brother couldn't, but I could. My eye doctor tested me to see which was the dominant eye for reading and which was the dominant eye for distance, then prescribed the lenses I needed to fit that.
Whether I was reading or looking in the distance, I was always peripherally aware of a bit of blurriness coming from the other eye, but I could drive, read and use the computer, and that's what mattered. I went with that option for years until I had laser surgery.
