Art Gifts!

This cover is for one of my favorite stories--I know, I know, I say that a lot, but I think this story was one that a lot of folks liked, too. It was an odd story, one that was inspired by a dream of an evil Russian Clark.

[livejournal.com profile] mkitty3 liked the story well enough to make me some lovely art for it—and this incredible cover for
Firebird and The Grey Wolf
, a story about terrible people doing terrible things and not feeling sorry for them at all. :)

That is just a gorgeous cover!

And that was one of my favorite stories of yours too... Though I say that about a lot of them. *grins*

LOL! I feel awful--I say, 'oh that one was my fav', about so many of my own stories--but mostly I mean the process of writing them, not so much the finished thing, which probably makes no sense at all. *g*

Gorgeous cover - red-eyed Clark looks very wolfish indeed!

Ah-ah! Lex was the wolf in this fic! *G* Thanks so much--she really made a wonderful cover! :)

PS--love your icon!

Lex was the wolf in this fic!
Aha! This was one story I hadn't read because it's marked "angst" at the SSA and I'm a big wuss. Your angst-stories are so powerfully written they can upset me for days (see "Dog.")

But this beautiful cover gave me the nudge and I'm glad I did read it - loved that it ended with a touch of redemption, with the two very damaged men finding love and perhaps salvation with each other. I especially liked this line:

Kirill turned into the tiny gesture of comfort with over whelming gratitude. He needed just a little kindness now--just one person to show him the compassion he knew he had no right to.
*sob* Ooh, that pokes me right in the heart!

(While I was at the SSA, I also re-read "Lex and Clark do Europe" which is my personal Happy Place.)

Oh this was the nicest comment to read! you really made me feel wonderful! I'm so glad you read this and enjoyed it, and thanks so much for telling me you reread Lex&Clark! My goodness, you certainly made my day!

Oooh! Very pretty!
I love this story, too!! I miss Alexei and Kirill loads. I think it's really something that your AU created such strong alternate personalities. And your descriptive imagery was so beautiful! I still remember your description of the train station and the car they took. *happy sigh*

Aw, thank you, beloved!!Man, that story was so much fun, I really loved those guys. *happysigh*.

The first story of yours I ever read :D

Gorgeous cover!

Good times, weren't they? *g*

*HUGS*

Wow, it's gorgeous! And it reminds me I didn't finish reading the last part of the story...How could I?! Must reread it from the beginning. ;)

oh, you should, you should! *G*

I liked this story, too. In fact, I just reread it a couple of weeks ago. Are you sure that you don't want to write a sequel about their adventures in the New World? (Thought it was worth a shot to try to revive your Clex muse.)

[identity profile] roxymissrose.livejournal.com 2008-12-17 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
heh! You know, I think about these guys a lot. Who knows? Maybe some day. *G*

[identity profile] megamom2.livejournal.com 2008-12-17 11:48 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I think you said you weren't going to write Smallville fic anymore, but Clex doesn't have to be Smallville, as you have so admirably shown ;)

LOL! Ah-ha! The loophole! *GRIN*

a hell of a cover, and a reminder of one of my eternal favorites, and the reason, why I started to dance around in your LJ :D

*HUG* Good thing for me! :)
