SpN 6:18

I do have to say this thing though, and that probably makes me a party-pooper, but the whole Sam Colt business drives me right out of my mind. I have to consciously stop and tell myself, "SpN takes place in an alternate universe, where Sam Colt is for some odd reason an old alcoholic dude who apparently never heard of Patterson, New Jersey. Hoosah, I can deal, for the sake of Dean in a cowboy hat, I can deal. Also, the brothers are having sex, and ganked Ruby together."

Nice call on the syphilitic whores and the crapasstic booze, though.

Mind you, if this ep were a person, I would throw them on the ground and roll all over them making pathetic, border-line creepy noises. Ach, who am I kidding? They'd be *way* creepy noises!

So, so many Back to the Future references I lost count! Also, Castiel needs to touch it. LOL

Blazing Saddles too--I rolled laughing! This ep was just plain *fun*!

I loved it, and even though I don't care that much about the Western genre one way or the other, I still got a kick out of their cowboy duds (even though, as an authentic modern-day Westerner, I can say with a surety that they were pretty cheesy even for the present day). I was looking forward to it more than anything because the Js, particularly Jensen, seemed so thrilled with doing the episode in the first place. I've been watching con videos where he still lights up when he talks about making this one--and how fun is it to watch a 32-year-old man look like he's a six-year-old in Disneyland? I enjoyed it for its own sake, though, all the references and fun stuff, like the horseshit and the "Yippee cay yay, mf" and whatnot.

Oh man--so many excellent references--and Jensen's *joy* at playing a cowboy just poured right off the screen. I love how he has no problem being teased, though I felt kinda bad that he had to ditch his blanky. I mean serape. ;)

I was fully won over when they had Jim Beaver actually say "Deadwood." Man, that joke's been in the works since Bobby's first appearance way back in season one. :)

Also, yes to the whore! HA! I giggled like mad at poor Dean having his illusions shattered. Ah, good times.

It was obvious that *everyone* was having a great time with this ep--loved it like crazy! Poor Dean and his dentally challenged soiled dove, lol!!!

Absolutely LOVED it too!

Right? I love how they can be completely serious and totally silly in the same show!

This episode was ridiculous! It was absolute regression. But I loved every second of it, regardless of all that. S6 is so terrible and I still can't get enough of this show. Especially, with Dean's cowboy fetish and Sam riding a horse. Is it just me or was it really, really refreshing to see a full episode of Dean embracing his inner-geek and being downright adorable? Don't get me wrong, Dean wears man-pain better than anyone ever, he looks very pretty when he's crying, but sheesh!

And Cas gingerly touching Bobby's soul? FTW! But I have to ask, Rachel? Seriously, Rachel, Angel of the Lord? I couldn't be more pissed off by the introduction of the angel Rachel, just so she could reveal Castiel's questionable tactics, which we were already pretty much aware of. Although, I did kind of love her tearing the boys a new one.

Did you notice that I don't do episode reaction posts of my own, I just mouth off on other people's posts?? ;)
