so, here's what happened....

My SV BB was going along like gangbusters, I was really pleased with what I had and then, I accidentally erased most of it. That sucked like crazy, but in a way, I guess it was a good thing. Now, I'm going to start from the end and work my way backwards. Go me.

Oh fuck positive!!! I nearly spit on the fucking laptop, I was so pissed off!! Mother fuck!! Damn it, I just stared at that fucker like--be-hunh? Wha...did I just do, fuck me.... It was an eye-opening moment and taught me a lesson. Never do shit that requires thinking before nine-o'clock because I don't really get my brain started until eleven. Before nine, I'm only good for snuggles. And that's just if I like you. Otherwise, I bite your head off and go back to sleep.

Lucky for me, my SpNMini-Bang was unmolested. Man, that thing is headed in a way different place then I'd planned. I think it's actually going to end up being a happy story. Wouldn't that be nice? Or maybe scary, I don't know....

I have notes, but all the kinky bits were only in my head, gaaah! That's what comes of not wanting the naughty bits visible in my notebook. Been that way about it since Mr. R grabbed one of my notebooks to make a grocery list--heh! What a face that was, lol! :)

i accidentally deleted a chapter of my nano camp thing but semagic had saved it as a draft. not that it amounts to a hill of beans, but that moment when you've lost something you'd worked hard on? aaargh. ("fuck positive." haha!)

laptops, i am finding, are far worse about this than big ol' desk PCs.

It was an enormous AAAAH moment, so bog that for a minute, all I could do was stare at the laptop, my mouth all hanging open and GETTING NO AIR!!! As soon as BG left the house I was freaking out! The dog thought I'd lost my mind, lol!

Thankfully, I had a bunch of notes and cut bits in the recycle bin so it shouldn't be too horribly bad to rewrite. *sigh*

hope it was clear that i meant MY story doesn't amount to a hill of beans! i just was relating to that AAAAH moment. it's awful. yeah, i bet you scared the dog. :D

i may've told you that i once accidentally deleted my hard drive. how, you may ask? the damn computer asked me if i wanted to, and i hit the wrong button. i really did just about fall on the floor. thank god for computer-savvy offspring. :(

best wishes with the rewrite! i hate having to do that. some of the poems i lost that my son couldn't recover weren't as good after i reconstructed them.

OMG that's terrible! Good luck with the reconstruction. I did that once, but it was with a short fic. Even so, it took me forever to put it back together from notes and whatnot I still had. (Well, okay, not really forever, but much longer than I would have liked.)

So I totally understand if you don't have time to beta that Forever Knight fic for me? (Even though I'd really love it if you would.) BrightKnightie has a beta-reader exchange thread set up, so I'd still be able to get somebody (they just wouldn't be as cool as you!)

I'm totally screwed with that fic, I'm afraid. I hope the urge comes back, it was going good. :(
