WHAT I'M ABOUT TO SAY IS ABSOLUTLY SPOILERY!!!!!!!
Did Chloe just kill someone?!!? I could have sworn that's what she did. WTF? Why would she think that Clark would like that or why would Chloe ever do that? I think brainiac is mixed up in this more than we realize. Maybe we've lost Chloe already and we just haven't realised it yet? :(
Also, I'm watching SPN and Dean just said he'd come back as a young cheerleader if he was a centuries old witch. HAHAHHAHA! The look that Sam gave him, haha, priceless. As Dean continues to drool over the fact that he'd be a gorgeous female cheerlaeder, or a least dressed up as one, Sam gives him this look of encredulity like, "Why would I wan't you to be a girl?" So cute!
YES!!! How *could* they??? Poor Chloe. SV is actually not bad this year, now that I don't have to grind my teeth over the way they fucked up Lex's character.
I can see it. It's going to do terrible things to her, but at the end, when she's leaving, you can see how awful she feels. I do believe she'd do anything to protect Clark, though.
I can't watch live *sniffs*, but people have given me a recap of the episode. At first I thought it was all Brainiac, and then people said it was more Chloe simply using the powers that Brainiac gave her *head is spinning*
I tuned in a couple minutes early for SPN and my eyes about fell out of their sockets. Not least because I was of the impression that Chloe did not have any special powers, but I guess you get left out of the loop when you only read schmoopy clex fics and don't even watch the show?
Checked in here hoping for talk about tonight's Supernatural (which I found fascinating, despite some queasy-making moments), but instead I was surprised by the reaction to Smallville. Admittedly, I'm not watching SV anymore, but while I was, I took note of Chloe repeatedly trying to talk Clark into murdering Lex in cold blood -- despite the fact that, while in his right mind, Lex had never done anything to try to harm Clark. How is it a big step from repeatedly urging a friend to commit unprovoked premeditated murder to personally mind-wiping someone? Chloe's ethics have been questionable for quite some time.
It's true, and my feeling is that whatever bit of Brainiac is in Chloe's mind has also led her to be able to justify mind-wiping that guy as a good thing. Her attachment to Clark has been completely twisted, and Clark may act like he's clueless but this has been bothering him for a while. Once he gets his feelings sorted out about what his place in the world is, I think he's going to confront her.
Maybe he'd confront her. Maybe he'd just accept it as not nice but necessary. I know I'm going to end up being hated over this, but Clark's ethics aren't exactly pure and untainted either. He's done some things to protect his secret that make me... anyway, if he does blow up at Chloe, it would be hypocritical, in my opinion. But then he's a hypocrite, too, so....
