Checked in here hoping for talk about tonight's Supernatural (which I found fascinating, despite some queasy-making moments), but instead I was surprised by the reaction to Smallville. Admittedly, I'm not watching SV anymore, but while I was, I took note of Chloe repeatedly trying to talk Clark into murdering Lex in cold blood -- despite the fact that, while in his right mind, Lex had never done anything to try to harm Clark. How is it a big step from repeatedly urging a friend to commit unprovoked premeditated murder to personally mind-wiping someone? Chloe's ethics have been questionable for quite some time.
It's true, and my feeling is that whatever bit of Brainiac is in Chloe's mind has also led her to be able to justify mind-wiping that guy as a good thing. Her attachment to Clark has been completely twisted, and Clark may act like he's clueless but this has been bothering him for a while. Once he gets his feelings sorted out about what his place in the world is, I think he's going to confront her.
Maybe he'd confront her. Maybe he'd just accept it as not nice but necessary. I know I'm going to end up being hated over this, but Clark's ethics aren't exactly pure and untainted either. He's done some things to protect his secret that make me... anyway, if he does blow up at Chloe, it would be hypocritical, in my opinion. But then he's a hypocrite, too, so....
