I can see it. It's going to do terrible things to her, but at the end, when she's leaving, you can see how awful she feels. I do believe she'd do anything to protect Clark, though.

Yes, true--she's been leading up to this since the end of last year, what with just about comparing Clark to God and what-not. It's terrible!
