SV: wha? Hunh?
Okay, what the hell was that?
I missed the beginning so when I tuned in, Lana was just sitting there like a biblical curse. A one woman plague of WTFness. Did I miss the climactic conversation between Lana and Clark in which he compares her perfidious actions to Lex's and puts them in the same boat—oh, wait, that wasn't TV, that was
tobywolf13
I was feeling pretty bad about my crappy plotting skills until watching this show tonight. Thomas continues to make me sing, but Mikey was definitely chanting "Countdown to freedom" in his head. Not even his talk with Kara, full of slashy overtones, made me smile. My poor boy. He'd hurting--look at him!
One thing that made happy was the Clark&Kara bit. Oh my! Thomas is SO good there--he's wonderful, funny and adorable but everything else is such *bullshit*. Clark has wrestled with being alien on earth for almost a lifetime, has had to work hard every day to fit in--and this girl has the nerve to compare her experience to Clark's? She just woke up--she hasn't suffered loss and hurt like Clark has trying to be human. Lord--let me put my hands in my pockets before I have to choke someone. So help me, I want to like Kara, I'm like *desperately* wanting to like her…please SV don’t kill it.
And why is it open season on Chloe?
I'm off to see if smarter folks than me can explain just what the hell we watched here tonight.

I got your note! You're a sweetie! Have you watched all the episodes I sent yet? Do you like it? Is Captain Jack to die for? Do you want me to do you the rest of the season? :D

Watch the show--Thomas is just wonderful, and Mikey...well, I'll probably watch it again, I think I was hasty with him.
Re: icon love
SV did have some good bits. I'm just VERY unhappy with what's happening to Chloe. They haven't been this mean to her since season two, I think. MR seemed a little--unenthusiastic. He's probably as tired of the Lexana as we are.

Ms. Roxy, I may have to marry you. Hope Mr. Roxy doesn't mind. ;)
It did occur to me Smallville = Superboy. Sure, there's better cinematography and SPX, but tonight, I finally realized that's all it ever was. Sigh.

but tonight, I finally realized that's all it ever was. Sigh.
And that's what drives me crazy--it could be so much more--it *has* been. Watching tonight, I had a split second where I thought--oh, god, they're giving up all pretense and aiming at the under fifteen crowd. Scary.

Chloe is a turncoat who deserves no love, but she IS getting it from all ends this season. OUCH.
God bless Michael. The writing for Lex only keeps getting WORSE and WORSE, especially when PERFECT!Lana is in the room.
How I wished that when the bitch told Clark she had come back "for us," that he would have told her, "No way, ho. This is not about what YOU want anymore."
*sigh*
I HATED IT.

Chloe pissed me off so much with her out of the blue hatred for Lex but now, I feel sorry for her. Now, they're going to take her boytoy too? Bastards.

Hee! That is the absolute, hands-down best description of Lana I've ever read. *applauds you*
I am not fond of open season on Chloe. And I (mostly) like Lois, but what the hell is with her randomly being off in Europe persuing important stories there? She did one story about a spaceship and she gets shipped off to cover foreign affairs? Craziness!

And, I really did like Lex telling Lana that even Clark wouldn't approve of some of the stuff she's done.
*sigh* If the producers would just do ONE episode with a eensy-weensy little sliver of pink K, I'm telling you...they think it'd be all whatever, but their ratings would go insanely crazy! Just one episode...a little bit of Clark and Lex throwing it down like they fell into a vat of alien Viagra...it'd do wonders in getting the show super sparked up again. Hmm...sorry...I went into cheesy-fantasy mode. Again.

I am right there with you, what is this thing about desperately trying to hold on to the Lana character. The time has come, past, and swung back round again to say bye bye to Lana Lang!
"And why is it open season on Chloe?"
In my opinion, Chloe has gotten the bums rush for the entire series. She never gets anything that is just about her for too long. Clark, was never gonna happen (but her cousin, sure, why not.), they call her name to walk for graduation, the state police break up the ceremony before she can get on stage, starts to get some recognition as a journalist, toss the spotlight Lois's way instead. Finally, finally she gets a steady boyfriend not out to kill her, he ogles another girl in her face!
Seriously, they crap on that character every season, it always ticks me off!

A world of yes. She was a minor player--she was a damn high school crush--not the love of his life. Since they're so willing to fling canon out the window, then heat up the Lois and Clark--in fact heat it up in front of Lana--that'd be fun!
She's really made me mad recently, (all about the Lex) but I like her too much to want to see this constant horrible mess they make of her life.

MR must be so painfully, painfully bored.

7.01: She dies.
7.02: Cousin gets promoted AHEAD of her with no talent and she gets insulted repeatedly.
7.03: Clana are back together in full force with the new secret-keeper and Jimmy insults MF's and makes googly eyes at Kara.
7.04: She almost gets murdered by old Supes.
Yeah, she's having a stellar year. BTW, thanks for the shout out!

Just remember that Kara has to play annoying to allow Clark to be the wise mentor. (Also? Just found out she lost her whole planet and everyone she ever loved. So maybe this desire to stand out, and her general brattiness, is just a deflection of her own grief?)

I will get over this as usual bit of SV whatness, and ignore it completely, fiddly-dee-dee!
