Okay, what the hell was that?

I missed the beginning so when I tuned in, Lana was just sitting there like a biblical curse. A one woman plague of WTFness. Did I miss the climactic conversation between Lana and Clark in which he compares her perfidious actions to Lex's and puts them in the same boat—oh, wait, that wasn't TV, that was [livejournal.com profile] tobywolf13

I was feeling pretty bad about my crappy plotting skills until watching this show tonight. Thomas continues to make me sing, but Mikey was definitely chanting "Countdown to freedom" in his head. Not even his talk with Kara, full of slashy overtones, made me smile. My poor boy. He'd hurting--look at him!

One thing that made happy was the Clark&Kara bit. Oh my! Thomas is SO good there--he's wonderful, funny and adorable but everything else is such *bullshit*. Clark has wrestled with being alien on earth for almost a lifetime, has had to work hard every day to fit in--and this girl has the nerve to compare her experience to Clark's? She just woke up--she hasn't suffered loss and hurt like Clark has trying to be human. Lord--let me put my hands in my pockets before I have to choke someone. So help me, I want to like Kara, I'm like *desperately* wanting to like her…please SV don’t kill it.

And why is it open season on Chloe?

I'm off to see if smarter folks than me can explain just what the hell we watched here tonight.

I can't remember hating an episode this much since Season 4. Even the detestable Green Arrow didn't get as much hate from me as this poor excuse for an episode, to me.

Chloe is a turncoat who deserves no love, but she IS getting it from all ends this season. OUCH.

God bless Michael. The writing for Lex only keeps getting WORSE and WORSE, especially when PERFECT!Lana is in the room.

How I wished that when the bitch told Clark she had come back "for us," that he would have told her, "No way, ho. This is not about what YOU want anymore."

*sigh*

I HATED IT.

Hating it is my knee-jerk reaction, and then I start picking it apart to find what I *did* like. Right off the bat, I have to say I hated completely the Lana bit. I hate that she's apparently getting off scot-free, that Clark is okay with what she did because Lex is a bad bad man. I agree that Mikey is having to act like a superhuman because his lines suck--but he does what he can and gave real menace to those seemingly forgiving lines while talking to Hamsterina.

Chloe pissed me off so much with her out of the blue hatred for Lex but now, I feel sorry for her. Now, they're going to take her boytoy too? Bastards.
