Okay, what the hell was that?

I missed the beginning so when I tuned in, Lana was just sitting there like a biblical curse. A one woman plague of WTFness. Did I miss the climactic conversation between Lana and Clark in which he compares her perfidious actions to Lex's and puts them in the same boat—oh, wait, that wasn't TV, that was [livejournal.com profile] tobywolf13

I was feeling pretty bad about my crappy plotting skills until watching this show tonight. Thomas continues to make me sing, but Mikey was definitely chanting "Countdown to freedom" in his head. Not even his talk with Kara, full of slashy overtones, made me smile. My poor boy. He'd hurting--look at him!

One thing that made happy was the Clark&Kara bit. Oh my! Thomas is SO good there--he's wonderful, funny and adorable but everything else is such *bullshit*. Clark has wrestled with being alien on earth for almost a lifetime, has had to work hard every day to fit in--and this girl has the nerve to compare her experience to Clark's? She just woke up--she hasn't suffered loss and hurt like Clark has trying to be human. Lord--let me put my hands in my pockets before I have to choke someone. So help me, I want to like Kara, I'm like *desperately* wanting to like her…please SV don’t kill it.

And why is it open season on Chloe?

I'm off to see if smarter folks than me can explain just what the hell we watched here tonight.

"Lord--let me put my hands in my pockets before I have to choke someone."

I am right there with you, what is this thing about desperately trying to hold on to the Lana character. The time has come, past, and swung back round again to say bye bye to Lana Lang!

"And why is it open season on Chloe?"

In my opinion, Chloe has gotten the bums rush for the entire series. She never gets anything that is just about her for too long. Clark, was never gonna happen (but her cousin, sure, why not.), they call her name to walk for graduation, the state police break up the ceremony before she can get on stage, starts to get some recognition as a journalist, toss the spotlight Lois's way instead. Finally, finally she gets a steady boyfriend not out to kill her, he ogles another girl in her face!
Seriously, they crap on that character every season, it always ticks me off!

A world of yes. She was a minor player--she was a damn high school crush--not the love of his life. Since they're so willing to fling canon out the window, then heat up the Lois and Clark--in fact heat it up in front of Lana--that'd be fun!

She's really made me mad recently, (all about the Lex) but I like her too much to want to see this constant horrible mess they make of her life.
