Well I can't personally help you as I haven't read that fic, (I kind of have this (very large) thing against Bruce being gay) but I remembered seeing it on the danceswithclex rec list and so I went and pulled up her summary for it. It's: "Growing up with Bruce as a brother causes difficulties for Clark. It doesn't help that they're both in love with Lex."

Really? Hunh! I kind of came into Smallville sort of sideways, with Bruce/Lex being my sort of OTP, and then it developed into Lex/Clark. Or Clark/Whitney, depending on the day.

Yeah, that summary's pretty good, except that in the fic, Clark totally fucks Bruce's life up and pretty much Lex's life, too. Clark turns into a not nice guy by the end of it. It was interesting writing him that way, and still keeping him on the side of the good guys. I turned Clark into Robin in this story. Good times, good times....

Oh, well I'm not really a slash fan. *looks at collection of Clex fics* Uh... no really! Clark/Lex is just this weird thing I have, other than that I pretty much ship canon.

God no. I mostly think of Joker as straight, though you can definitely sell me on him being gay for Batman. But Batman is definitely, definitely not gay, and even if he was gayer than a rainbow unicorn with purple heart shaped polka spots, I still wouldn't be into Batman/Joker because I just can't picture Batman being into the Joker. At all. (Also no Batman/any Robin ever, but most especially Damian, and, because I need to discriminate against het shippers too, no Batman/Bat girl either.)

Oh, I totally agree that Batman is not into the Joker like he's not into poison, but I think it's even sort of canon that Joker is into Batman.

But you know, I think your approach is what makes your Clex stories feel so good and new and fresh--like we're right back there at the beginning when anything was possible. :)
