Did you read the wonderful gift fic tebtosca wrote for me for the Xmas exchange? It's Sam/Dean/OMC, outsider POV and is set in season 8 and it's just so smart and hot. It's the only Sam/Dean I've read set during current canon, but this one just makes perfect sense with what we've been seeing on screen. http://tebtosca.livejournal.com/75433.html
They're all J2 and are super long! What I like about them is the long slow build and lots of UST, before the J2 actually starts to get going. But when it does get going the sex is amazing and feels really well earned and genuinely emotional. I do love a wham-bam PWP, but sometimes it's nice to have to really go through a lot and get to know the characters before they come together. Weirdly, I can't think of any Sam/Dean right now, though I've read tons of it ;-) I will come back if I do!
