6/19/14 11:26 pm (UTC)An emesis basin isn't really used for vomiting - a bigger, more box-like basin is usually used for that. A so-called kidney dish gets its shape so that the curved side can be pressed against a patient in order to catch fluid or matter when a wound is being washed/debried/dressed.
