I do get migraines and have occasionally (once or twice) had one that looked for all the world like it was going to be a migraine but no pain. I get visual disturbances called aura (they kind of look like the spots you see when you press hard on your eyeballs and hold for a minute), then light sensitivity, sound sensitivity and very, very rarely nausea. Plus pain. Oh, and it's really super-hard to think. It's like I know I need to do X but the steps to go from where I am to actually doing X are impossible to figure out.
I have to say what you described did sound like a painless migraine to me. Much better that than something worse, really!
