This episode was definitely a thing of beauty. They did that THING SPN does so well where we're just like "OMG this is HILARIOUS, so much fun!" right up until the moment when suddenly it's NOT fun, it's AGONY, and EVERYTHING HURTS. :(

Granted, this ep was a little close to home for me. My dad was just diagnosed with Alzheimer's, so... yeah, the post-it notes left everywhere and the scene where Dean couldn't remember who he was, etc... just hurt. :(

That last sequence was a little weird, and was definitely a fangirl fantasy fulfillment moment - but I think it was more intended to be a poignant, sad reflection on how Dean's childhood was stolen from him and all he has now are little moments like riding that bull. :/ He finds his fun where he can because really, his entire life at this point is darkness and suffering. :(
