This month is nearly over! Where has it gone? May is right on the corner and all the things I was going to do are like smoke.

I did see Jensen live and in the flesh. That was a thrill! I swore this was going to be my last con, but maybe I might have one more in me, lol! It was nice to see I wasn't the oldest person there. Real life fandom is so forgiving, as opposed to Twitter fandom. The children of the bird all seem to think you should crawl off and die when you hit 25. Ha! Little do they know without these "oldsters", all stories would be aimless PWPs, and all art would feature woobified versions of the characters they claim to love.

Okay, no, that's not true, but sometimes I feel like it is.

So, how about these pirates in love? Is there going to be a major shift towards them, or a temporary one? What do we call it when a show drops, takes over the world and then quietly fizzles? Flash fandom? I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with these interesting fellows, but I'm still not motivated by anyone except Sam and Dean. We'll see! :D

I'm in a chatty mood today. I hope I can translate that into being chatty on my wip.

Ooh, you went to a con? Awesome, bb! :D
Snow and I were considering doing one that's actually going to be in Kansas City in September (they never come there!!), but we wouldn't see anybody, just hang out a bit and tour around the merch and such. We'll see.

I don't do fandom on Twitter at all, except for the occasional post you make, heh. I'm there mostly for news and politics and space stuff. Still stuck firmly into LJ/DW/AO3.

Omg, my entire AO3...sphere, I guess, is so gung ho on pirates in love right now!! Which is great, and I saw the kiss episode, and it looks like fun in a way, but.... Eh. :D I guess we'll see how long it lasts/how badly the show runners fuck up.

Good luck writing! *smishes* Hope you and yours are doing well.
*luffs hard*

Hi!! Nice to hear from you, and glad you got to hit a con. I always think my con days are over, and maybe they are, but it would be so fun to go to one and meet some LJ peeps... sometimes I hold out hope for that. I typically find a lot of older people in SPN fandom; I don't think of it as a young fandom at all! As for Twitter *waves hand irritably* they can get off my lawn. :-P

What is this Pirates in Love you speak of? Sounds intriguing, but after a quick Google search I am none the wiser...

I'm so glad you had a good time. What envy (the good kind), to be able to go to one con and meet our boys! Awwww. I would love to, but unless they do something on this side of the Atlantic or I win the lottery, it will be difficult to me.

Not a huge fan of the bird, here. Too much drama for the hell of it. I don't have time or energy for kindergarten fights, haters, and poisonous species unless they are endangered and inhabit tropical rainforests. And there's life over the forties and beyond! An interesting one. Besides, I like best what happens at Ao3, LJ, and now here (it looks like everybody moved).

Pirates in love? I'm puzzled...

Oooo a con! Always meant to go and never quite got around to it. As for those pirates. I havent gotten brave enough to try it. I'll probably cry if it sucks. I am rewatching SPN again rn anyway so....
