LOVED this part! *cheers* Yay, Lex for standing up for himself. It was so hard for him, though I'm not exactly sure if Lionel is going to leave him alone just like that. Lionel is obsessed with the boy, and I can't help but wonder if Daddy dearest isn't intent on teaching Lex a lesson on family loyalty: including and up to bending over for daddy whenever daddy says bend over!
Another cheer to Clark for swooping in for a rescue. Stupid, silly boy. God I love the idiot. I hope he realizes Lex wasn't avoiding him because of the alien-superpower issue. Our Lexy-pooh has Big Daddy issues up the wazoo. Plus, I can't wait to find out if Clark saw Lionel almost de-flowering poor virgin Lex.
Oh, okay. I'm hoping Clark finds out and goes ape shit and all protective. 'Cause nobody's getting Lex's ass but Clark! *wink*
Also love Lionel. He's so deliciously rational, logical, and fucked up. In his mind, he has every right to protect his own, mold his son the way he sees fit, and dole out lessons or punishment via fists or cock. I also like how you're developing his feelings/thoughts towards his son. You can tell he loves Lex in his own way, in a way he might love a prized artwork or thoroughbred horse. He cares...yet Lex is HIS son, hence it justifies what he does. Like sending out the kill squad to wipe out the kidnappers and bring Lex back.
Yet, he also is emotionally cut-off enough that he won't allow himself to feel upset if Lex had died. It's a great dichotomy of Lionel both feeling things in his own way, yet not feeling anything at all.
Can't wait to see the next Clark-Lex scene. I'm hoping for at least a few smoochies or hugs.
