I really like the way you're setting this up: Clark is a white boy who is friends with a black boy (whom he notices is handsome--that was sweet), he's friends with the "city girl," he's different from everyone else, just steeped in the potential for sin, having to fight his sinfulness all the time. This is a boy who would be open to relationship with Lex (*fingers crossed hopefully*).
He shares these qualities with the character in the show, but it seems so much more pointed in this environment because of the religious backdrop.
