Deep breath. Sometimes you have to coax it out of him. I have a couple Clark-specific tricks that I roll out when he's uncooperative.

1) Visualization. Picture the entire scene in your head, with as much detail as possible. Walk him through it, and wait for that precise second when he makes the scrunchy face of doom. You know which one I'm talking about. Then backtrack and figure out why he is having an issue with it. Sometimes he's a nitpicky boy.

2) Try to reason with him. Explain why you have him saying/doing things that particular way. When he rebuts, and he usually will at first, see if you can get an idea of what's bugging him. Sometimes just thinking it out with him or presenting him with the rationale behind it will work.

3) Bribe him. Put something into the scene that he wants, so he will work with you. Sometimes food works, or a specific type of location or another person (Lex usually) doing something nice for him.
