A while ago, I started reading Changes by Tabaqui(so good!)In the beginning she had a lot of music in her stories.Wonderful music that awoke memories(sigh).Music is tied into our brain just the way smells are,and can invoke powerful feelings...I also love Lux's The Away Series, for similar reasons.Even though the background is Italy,it awakens memories of Austria, memories of spending long lazy days at the lake with my mom, sunning and sleeping and eating when we felt like it, coasting through the day.Mom knew how to enjoy life. One day at a time and love all it had to offer.
Mom would stop you and demand you just ...smell the air. Sounds stupid but it made an impression.Some days, I just stand on my porch and inhale and think of Mom...damn, I miss her like everything!Some songs make me cry because they make me think of her.Any way, Mom was not the point of this and now I feel all weepy so I'll come back to my point another time....
