Okay, I confess I actually really liked the new version of Superman on the Legion of Superheroes. It's a very interesting take on the character--he feels like my kind of Superman. :). Poor little Brainiac...so in love and so heart-broken. *sigh*

The Batman continues to veer off from the original premise of the show, as far as I'm concerned. I would have liked to see this progression of a young Batman figuring out the ropes a little slower but I think I'm in the minority. And realistically, I guess he has been around long enough now to be in charge of his little Bat family. By the way--I hate that fucking little Robin. Maybe I'm spoiled by the Teen Titan Robin but this little wiseacre is just not--funny. I like Batgirl much better than I like Robin. I did like Luthor ("Luuu-tor") on the show--isn't it funny how each new version of Lex gets slimmer and slimmer?

The *good* Robin

So, Superman beat out Batman, but it was close!

I think most of us were thinking of different versions of Batman and Superman--I didn't take into account all the different Bats and Supes there are--Batman Begins Batman, toon Batman, comic Batman, TimBurtonBatman...there are so many, and Superman--toon, comic, movies--even ToonBatman has different incarnations: BTAS, TB, JL, BB...but we're not going to go into that here! Thanks a lot folks, it was a lot of fun.

Oh,and for that one Flash fan (*koff[livejournal.com profile] drkcherry)--as a wee Roxy, I thought the Flash was cooler than Superman. But not Batman because he had that cave and the car going for him. And as for the Luthor lovers--he was always cool--even when he was a dumpy old bald guy, he was cool to me. *G*
