Talk about a cracking good story! This is a lovely J2 set in an SF story-line that I was completely caught up in!

AI stories are a favorite of mine, since childhood, and this one is as good as any I've read. There's a robot and a love story but not what you think it is. There's an awesome Chad and as much as I love Douchenozzle Chad, I love Awesome Chad even more. Jared is a poor shmoe who gets dragged along for the ride but who is so sweet and willing to believe, that he truly becomes the hero of the tale. The main character will break your heart, and make you snivel, or your heart is more wizened and walnut-like than Angel's, or Mizrose's on a normal day. I loved how innocent and lost he was without the story ever going over the top. Plus hot scientists—pmg, what more could you ask for?

This story features exciting car chases, chilling intrigue, last-minute showdowns, love, betrayal…be prepared with tissues and you will need hugs from time to time. I liked this story, guys, I liked it a *lot*. *G*
