Or, I suppose Martha could over hear Lex crying and vomitting in the shower and send Jonathan in. And just a curious thought, but just how far behind Lex were Jonathan and Martha? They were into the fight quick enough even with stopping to get the gun. Did they see his emotional collapse at not initially finding Clark? And has Martha ripped Jonathan a new one for not telling Lex about kryptonite?
