having Lex call Lucas and just tell him that he's not coming back, yeah that will work. ;) And Clark's stunning naivete is what makes him think that. I've always been kind of amazed reading Supes that Clark doesn't seem to ever get it, that the world can be worse then he imagines, and on those occasions it hits home, he goes nuts about it. It's like Clark/Superman has no brakes--it's either on or off for him. Which will make it difficult for him to deal with Lucas and understand that it's a different Lex he's dealing with than the one he knew as a kid.
