I really love how you didn't underestimate Lex's investment in Lucas. It makes sense that it wouldn't be easy to break free, that Lex would have mixed feelings.
But he's so broken! I hope he can fix himself! (Because depending on Clark completely seems almost as problematic as his dependence on Lucas, and he seems to know that.)
It's so interesting how you paint Lex as so weak and yet everyone else is disempowered for him/Sacrificing for him, so in some ways he's very strong/powerful.
