I'm glad that you found it hard to read. I meant for it to start out kind of giddy and silly and crash at the end. These broken kids found each other and tried to make a family.
I did mean to hint that Lionel had made advances on Lex but that Lex fought him, and won. I think I meant for it to be mostly a mental thing though--a way of controlling Lex, mostly mind games and things along that line. In most of my stories, Lionel is abusive in all ways--those early seasons of SV really seemed to hint at it, the way those two interacted. I'm pretty sure that it was intentional.
