So my cure is to write s5 clex where Lex isn't headed for certain evil, but that keeps up with the ambivalence and salvation that the show seemed to promise in the early years.
That's what I count on from the writers. I think part of the reason I feel so goofy about feeling this way is that I did come in with a comic book background, I knew it was going to happen and thought I was prepared. Hah! So much for that. MR is too good at building sympathy for Lex.
