So can you take one more 'woe is me tale'? Of course, you can, you keep hanging around hoping I'm going to tell you naughty stories, so you have to pay the price...ah-hem.
I was working, oh so hard, on this next bit of Touch Of, and this one is DaddyBadTouch (TM justabi, if I'm not mistaken ), and as usual, I'm going over and over it to suck any possible titillation from it because ick.

And then it occurred to me (like a boot to the brain), the way they act with each other on the show (remember the show?) didn’t make sense with the scenario I thought to go with. Once upon a time when I still knew what was going on with SV, the bottom line with Lex was that he wanted love from his dad, he did everything he could to get recognition from him. He treated Lionel with contempt and sneered at him but still, he wanted his dad to love him. But whenever his dad did show him love, he refused it. He didn’t trust it.

Lionel seems not to need Lex at all, but he enjoys playing with his mind. Whenever he’s at his most loving with Lex, is usually right before he screws him really hard. He’s tried to kill him a few times. I mean literally tried to kill him and tried to kill whatever it was in Lex’s mind that makes him Lex.

I’m thinking, if you do write Luthorcest, pretty much Lex has to be either the one to initiate it, or be convinced that it’s what he wants. And writers much more talented then me have written these scenarios. *sigh*

Oy. What’s yer mother to do? Well just go ahead and write it because what the heck--ya'll know me! Hoo-haa! Here I go! And yes, betrue I know about the other meaning for that too! *wink*

Not to turn this into a Lionel and Lex dissertation.....

For me, and maybe this is my dodgy memory, but usually when Lionel tries to kill Lex, it’s when Lex tries to one-up him. If Lionel wanted Lex dead, well and truly dead, he’d be dead. Lionel wants Lex to know his place. Usually, dads just tell their kid, “Remember, I’m the parent and you’re the child.” Lionel poisons his son’s drink. It means the same to him.

For me the only time Lionel really meant Lex harm was frying his brain and that was to protect his own hide. And besides, a little electroshock never hurt anyone besides Frances Farmer and that one Kennedy sister they kept locked up.

I think Lionel does whatever it takes to undermind Lex. Whether it’s to control him sexually, financially or emotional; Lionel will do whatever it takes to keep Lex subservient (because no matter how much Lex tries to jump bad and have Lionel arrested or take deals from him, he still is that little kid who wants his dad’s approval/love). So I can see Lionel instigating the BadTouch. What better way to show Lex that he's a dirtynaughty boy with bad desires....hey, write that fic, girl.

Huh. You make a good point about Lexy wanting attention and his dad pretty much thinking his son is expendable. But I dunno if I can buy Lex wanting *that* sort of attention unless he's wasted on something. Hmm. I generally avoid Luthorcest stuff anyway, so I don't have much to go on here for my own thoughts. And I'm still sick and thus a little loopy, so this is all i got for right now.

I agree with Dawnybee's summary of Lionel's desire to control Lex. I also think he would use sex as way to punish Lex or to teach him another Luthor lesson (tm). In the first scario it'd be - Look at how desperate you are for my approval, Lex. You'd even allow me to fuck you. It's be all about Lex and nothing about Lionel's desire to put his son in that position and he might not even bother to articulate it for Lex. I think he'd be totally capable of just fucking with Lex to keep him off balance and "make him stronger".

Which leads to the second case - I think Lionel would also manipulate Lex into some kind of sexual act and then turn around and be all - Look how your emotions and need for love make you weak, Lex.

Not that I've thought about this or anything. *koff*

and the thoughts . . . hmm. I can see it swung both ways with lex (at a far younger age than now) initiating something for his father's approval, or lionel doing something as punishment.

I don't think he'd choose it so much as have the choice made for him in such a way that he might think he was at fault. Which would make him a good deal younger than he is on the show. RUN! HIDE YOUR EYES NOW!!

*giggle* See, now I think you are perfect to write such a thing. I think there is another possibility, though. Lionel is always testing Lex, testing his loyalty and what he can get him to do. What if Lionel set it up as a way to see how far Lex would go and then couldn't stop? Would account for a lot of his contempt.

I was also thinking more about this and was thinking that I would not put it past Lionel to arrange a situation where he forces Lex to choose incestuous activities. You know how he fucks with Lex's head. He'd be so cool and calm laying out Lex's "options" and then forcing him to "make a decision" that is nothing less than forced, but still... Lionel is such a magnificent bastard!
