Oh boy! It took me two days, but I finished reading it. I kept looking at the scroll bar to figure out precisely how close to the end I was. I didn't want it to end.
I'm relatively new to the Bruce/Clark ship, but well...I am such a sucker for good writing. And I am a very picky reader. You drew me in from the start with this AU. How Lex and Bruce met. How you introduced Clark into the mix. When the Kent's took Bruce in and how he developed I was kind of puzzled into how he would become the Batman. You completely surprised me when I got to the chapter with Bruce running late to see them. I was just bee-bopping through the story. Then when you unveiled the crowd that was around the bank and Bruce coming up on it. I was like Oh no Roxy, no no no no NO! Don't do this to Bruce, he's happy. Oh God you did. *deep breath* I was completely floored with the transition of Clark after the Kent's passed. Wow. Poor Lex *wibble* during that dark time. I was so like, oh no, he's going to turn into a Lionel, but this story is supposed to have a BHE! *wibble* However, will Ms. Roxy do it?! Well you did it and while I am satisfied that Clex is happy for better or worse (and Lex is a sentimentalist) I feel for Bruce. I think that if he caught the Joker (I am right that it was the Joker that killed both the Wayne's and the Kent's correct in this AU?) that perhaps maybe (would pray) that he could let some light into his life. Huh? However I really don't think so. I can see the acrimonious relationship that Bruce and Clark have. Clark still loves him. Thanks so much for writing this I greatly appreciate it. Job well done. I will have to peruse more of your writing :)
