Thank you! Clark is a victim too, in a lot of ways. He's *not* the bad guy here. He followed his convictions--and he did what was right for him at the time. Don't think that Ripley doesn't love her Dad. She really does. But she called Lex because there's always the one parent you'll lean on, just a bit more than the other. Ripley and Clark are very comfortable together--can you imagine her trying to gross out Lex the way she did Clark?
Sorry for being all blabby, but just this morning, I was making the bed and thinking hard about poor Clark--do I really write him that unsympathetically? Because, he is my favorite. In every story I write, I love Lex--but I think I tend to empathize more with Clark.
