Hey Roxy! You already received my email, I see from your email reply. :)

Again, I'm so happy to have found this story. Of course, as Clark is my favorite character on Smallville, I completely understand the way in which you portrayed him in this fiction...setting Lex aside after he discovered that he not only killed supposedly for him, but he also burned down their favorite restaurant in anger of Clark's date with Lana. So you see, as much as it's sad that Lex is left out of the good-lovins loop here, I can totally understand why it had to be so. What makes me giggle so much in this ficiton is the role reversal you have portrayed. Clark is the horn dog here and Lex has be relegated to sitting on the sidelines pining for his lost love. I think this approach, and the fact that you've allowed it to go on for years, will make their inevitable pairing that much more bittersweet for us. I adore this story!

As for Ripley turning to Lex with her questions and when she needs support...I'm fine with that too. She loves Lex with all her heart. She understands Clark on an entirely different level, almost the point of knowing beforehand what he will say, so in a sense she can pre-assume his advice and his comfort. Clark is the biological mother/father and fellow-alien. Their connection runs quite deep. Lex on the other hand, has been emotionally suffering for most of her life and she has only recently figured out the reason why. Ripley is like Clark in that she reaches for the one most in need to mend, to heal, to put a bandage on the boo boo. That person is Lex in this fiction. He's the one she sees as most in need of her attention for the moment.

Brilliant update. Thanks so much for writing this amazing universe. It's a wonderful pleasure for me.
