roxySo, I went over to vote in the SV awards, and I didn't vote for myself because...I don't know. So I voted for my fav authors and artists and boy, it was really hard. There are so many people whose work I *love*. I have to say that I think it's fair that more new people were chosen. It's tough competing against folks who aren't in the fandom, and haven't
been for a while. True, they wrote incredible amazing stories, and they're hard to top, but I wonder what winning an award would mean to them?
Sometimes, I get annoyed with endless reccing of long out of fandom writers, but I guess if I'm completely honest, (and i try) it's more jealousy on my part, of a level of writing I know I'll never achieve in this lifetime. Or several of them. Okay, yes, whining but ya'll know it's my second biggest hobby. Anyhoo, go vote! Let your favorite writer know that you appreciate the work that goes into entertaining you!
