OH NO! *sigh*

Lex is not wrong, he's not - not that he knows, but the tattoo is killing Clark (coupled with the remnants of whatever was done to Clark when he was little.) [and I know you like to bring the angst, but I just hope that the person who hurt Clark is not 1. the creepy scientist at the Lab, or 2. some other person who works at the lab. Yes it would be weird serendipity, but Lionel seemed to corral all the evilest people on the planet and gave them people to abuse. So please no, this interlude is going to be traumatic enough as it is.]

This is going to be bad, (1)especially with Lex drugging Clark and then Clark waking up in a lab/hospital -- this is everything that his parents hinted at, not that Clark knows he's alien, so it might not have been an explicit prohibition against doctors, but it was so totally implied. (2) Ummmmm, Clark is reallllllly unique, really unique - I can't imagine that that evil pit of vipers is going to be willing to let him just go once they find out that Clark is made up of all good things, especially with Creepy!Scientist thinking it cute to use Desiree!injections, awww?!? Really Lex I thought that we were trying to keep the number of people Lucas needs to kill down to a minimum. Oh this is going to be bad!

Oh, poor Lex just can't get a break. He is just heaping so much guilt on his shoulders, some of it so not deserved:

    Yes, cleaning up after Lucas's blood bath was bad - but really the Twins were a stain, and Lucas in prison, not a good idea;

    Being conflicted about what to do with the mutants is not a bad thing - they have all been Lionel Luthor's hands for years, years of torture prettied up as science; I don't know if there is any way to reintegrate any of them back in to civilization, and the ones who aren't psychotic are sociopaths (Tina)less socialized then Lucas. It's right to question the good, if any, that would come from letting them out except their right to freedom, which just might not be in the best interest of the planet;

    Clark really is fading away and yes it's high-handed but Lex has to do everything in his power to help Clark. And yes, Clark is going to be pissed and Lex doesn't realize the level of danger he is introducing Clark to. All I can say is that this time Lex may have to kill people (Lex is obviously willing to fight even Lucas for Clark), because I just don't think that the people in that pit will let Clark go easily.

I love Lucas calling Clark Camille - and telling Lex that he and Clark seem to love the drama of watching Clark fade away. If Lucas can make Lex proactive that's good.
