After all of Lex's doubts and silent accusations_a kiss to his palm erases it all away? This chapter was the most confusing. Why are they not talking about the common experience of living with the kents. Why are they not talking about meteor infected with special abilities_the kents already told Lex that they suspected he was a meteor mutant-just like Lex_and Lex felt bad because at the time he couldn't talk to him. So Lex already knows he's not from italy and he's afraid to tell the whole truth because he's afraid of being labeled a meteor mutant (alien).
I did think the AI was correct for calling Kal an idiot when Kal said out loud,'see me fly?'. I think the AI isn't doing its job here-because Kal is coming across as totally not belonging. When the AI told Kal that the meteor in Lex might be affecting him-Kal doesn't even seem to care. I can't believe the AI has let him get this far, this close to Lex
Why didn't Lex call the kents and tell them he found Kal and share info, etc....
Though the moment of being in love and being in a new home instead of having sex was nice_I think it got lost in the twilight zone feel of this chapter. But, I'm not very good at subtext and symbolism so you can have everything perfect and I just don't know how to read/interpret it.
And Pamela is going to be at the penthouse in the morning-i hope she doesn't live there and you haven't written about her showing up at his place and having breakfast before. You have written about her being at work already while Lex was on his way. I guess I feel as disconnected from this chapter as the characters seem to be disconnected_maybe that's what you wanted us to feel?
Do the AI and Kal believe it's right to be making declarations of love and moving in and calling it home and making love is a good idea when there's so many secrets he's keeping from lex. Shouldn't Kal just say he has things he can't tell about himself now-but with time and earning each others trust-it will come. Don't they realize how Lex must/might be interpreting how he's coming off. Other than him getting a good report from the kents, treating them well, working hard for them, etc...Lex thinks everything about this guy is a lie and he's pretty much true. How can you start love with lies? Well, if i want to see where this is going-i better read the next chapter.
