This seems really, really bad. Lex's rage and fear from the previous night is not calm and acceptance in the morning. Lex has to be thinking (if he didn't already learn from the Ai) to find a way to kill Kal_incase he feels like taking up the conquering business. If lex saw the buoys and the survivors that could find their way to earth--Lex would definitely look for a way to destroy them. millions of people with god like powers under a yellow sun. This story has the perfect opportunity for a very angsty ending.
Lex has the knowledge of the kryptonite and he can use the nano-power suit to give him strength equal or close to Kal. After killing Kal (or just keeping him weakened under kryptonite for a fuck toy)he can remove the AI from Kal's head and use its information (or find another way to access it). Lex Luthor just cannot be that accepting that quickly--Can't wait to see. After all this time and after seeing the information/images/emotions_Kal still didn't understand how the galaxy he was from saw them as overlords and demons.
