Adam is sort of a stand-in. I definitely wrote him with one character in mind, but tried to keep Adam as in character as possible.

I took a lot of liberty with the dream messengers. In The Stand, it was only Randall Flag or Mother Abigail, but Lex drags so many ghosts around with him all the time, it's almost canon. :)
