Awesome chapter! I could really feel Lex's joy in getting clean, and the presence of all those candles helped wash away some of the lingering nausea from that SV scene where Lana uses hundreds of candles to try to seduce her latest prey. *eg* Then Adam turned openly evil (I KNEW it!), and I loved Lex's tactic of smiling and agreeing with everything while inwardly raging and planning his escape. And you actually made me like Jonathan (a tiny bit, anyway) when he showed up to help, and I was totally caught up in Lex's frantic escape and the discovery of the bodies and Adam's well-deserved demise. (Eaten by abandoned dogs -- take THAT, you bastard! Hurt my Lex, will you?) This is just fantastic, especially with your rich talent for description. *shivers happily and waits for the next update*
