Wow -- this chapter's like a punch to the solar plexus! Vivid, powerful and very painful, and you have me worried now about just what Whitney's friends (and maybe even Whitney himself) are apt to do to Clark in the name of what they'd consider 'justice.' *curls protectively around Clark* I did feel just a bit sorry for Whitney here, but he took the coward's way out, and poor, brave Clark is going to have to pay for it. On the other hand, if it will get our boy out of Smallville and into Alex's world, it should all be worth it in the end.... *crosses fingers* Awesome chapter!
