though, that concept of going overboard, in fandom, seems strange to me, since fandom (well to those who are active anyway) is kind of an obsession, and i most of the time assume, the other is about the same level of craziness as i am so, *shrugs, where it the problem*. when they want to be cool and aloof, they are in the wrong place, or should completely flocked their LJ
