Hope I say what I'm thinking correctly without making a hash of it.
So gals new to writing fan fic make some common goofs, sort of breaking rules they don't even know are there, for example, the swearing in this. But once you've written a lot, you can break rules left and right and it works. And I love that. I'm reading this thinking, ACK CLARK IS SWEARING AND yet IT WORKS.
