I haven't stopped crying. I'm no where near old enough to have experienced true segregation and racism, though I've have a few encounters with asshole bigots, but even I in my 27 years understand the significance of this day. My mom grew up in Memphis during Jim Crow and experienced the desegregation of schools, she was 14 when Dr. King was shot. My grandmother on my father's side will be 84 on the 12th of this month and she, along with my 76 year old grandfather on my mother's side, lived to see this day.

And this is so much more than just a race issue, I truly believe that this man can bring about the change we've been needing. His stance on the issues did not change from the time he announced his campaign to now. This is the people's president and not just another crony of an old regime. Look at the crowd in Grant Park. That is what America looks like. Diverse. This is the America I believed could happen, people of a variety of races, ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, sexual orientations, all standing together celebrating the same thing...I don't know how I'll get to sleep.

This is one of the most beautiful moments in my life. Ranking right up there with witnessing the births of my two nieces, and my wedding. :)

We are all truly blessed for being able to see this happen, to bear witness to this great point not only in American history but in the history of the entire WORLD.
