I've had the misfortune to read some real stinkers in my time -- across different fandoms, too. Horrible writing and zero characterization has actually made me give up on a few fandoms completely. :( It's sad coz, on one hand I want to encourage everyone to express themselves, but, on the other hand. . . some people just cannot, for the life of them, write. Or at least shouldn't be allowed to post such absolute drivel as I've come across over the years.
