Roxy, I'm so sorry about your friend. It's hard, isn't it? You have my sincerest condolences. There's been times when I should have been strong for a friend when they suffered a lost, but sometimes it just hurts so much.
My best friend is 68, and anytime I try calling her and she doesn't answer the phone, I start freaking out!
I know what a lovely loving woman you are, so Mrs. Smith knew, too. That was sweet of you to share her with Mr. Roxy. I have a boyfriend like that! There's an older French couple I used to work with, and he became my *secret* boyfriend, and we would tease about our *secret* romance within hearing distance of his amused wife. They came to work a couple of weeks ago to visit, and his wife cracked up on us running to each other and hugging and proclaiming how much we had missed one another. Hee.
