Two scenes made me goosebumple all over--it might be advancing age, but I was all over sniffles! Parts did not make me as happy, though--just a warning. :)

Last week i got a few minutes of the end of SV, and wth?

Chloe screwed Jimmy over and he hates her? She's a superhero now or something? I am *so confused*.

The last time i saw anything, Chloe and Jimmy were getting married and something grabbed her and now, suddenly....

Much of it made me giggle. Tom and Erica on the rooftop most especially. Some of it was sort of meh. But overall I thought it was a pretty cute episode. :)

Okay, take a deep breath, let it go slooooowly, and repeat after me...Clark is hot like fire. REpeat that three times, and then say, 'show, what show?' That's how we do it in the SV.

Seriously, I have only skimmed the last ep, so all I know is that yes, Jimmy and Chloe married, and then broke up over her seeming inability to leave Davis/Doomsday (he's this season's Big Bad) alone. They've been kind of pushing Chloe into the position of coordinator for the League. Watch Tower as a handle is interesting because in the DC verse, Watch Tower is a physical place where the League is stationed. mind you, my comic knowledge is 20 years out of date.

I enjoyed this one as well. I LOVED the rooftop scene! So CUTE! Not sure how I feel about the Watch Tower stuff, but mostly cause I don't know anything about it. As long as she gets to live I guess.

Oh, trust me, the Watch Tower stuff is completely cool, more so than Chloe, ace reporter girl! And, yes! The roof top scene was adorable! :)

It's been a while since I was completely engaged with, and totally enjoying, an SV ep. Loved Zatanna and that they left the door open for her to return. Clark was funny - loved the 911 call gag, and the rusty doorhandle gag, and his reactions to Chlois trying to convince him that he's an alien. And the ending with Chloe taking charge of the Watchtower. ED surprised me and did a very good Chloe perfomance.

Me too! It was a funny, sexy joy. I loved Tom and Erica's performances, I loved Chloe's epiphany, I loved Zatanna pwning Oliver, and I even loved Oliver himself. That's how much I enjoyed this episode!

Not Miss Rose, but here goes. The something that grabbed Chloe was Doomsday, aka Davis Bloom, who is secretly a Kryptonian bioweapon created by Zod to kill Kal-El. He non-fatally ripped the living crud out of Jimmy at the wedding, and Jimmy spent the last six episodes in a hospital that is neither in Smallville nor in Metropolis, missing out on the Legion of Superheroes, Ollie's takeover of Luthorcorp (backed by Tess), and Lana's 4 ep "How I Became a Superhero" arc (season was going fairly well, I thought, until it went back to being Lanaville for the middle fifth). And while Tess Mercer, who may be Lex after a brain transplant, was faking a plane crash to try to get Clark to admit to being The Red-Blue Blur (and I never thought "Superman" would sound like a sensible thing to call yourself until they started calling Clark TRBB), Jimmy was having pain (med) management issues which led to nobody, not even Chloe, believing him when he said he saw Davis kill a guy (which Davis totally did because he's killing "evildoers" to try to keep control of his rampagey urges just like the priest told him-WTF?).

Basically, if you're confused, at least you have the excuse of having missed a bunch of episodes. :)

I don't actually watch Smallville, just the last five or ten minutes before Supernatural comes on.

But i had the impression that Chloe was just your average chick, so her being all superhero-y-adjacent was confusing me.

As was Jimmy hating on her, as they seemed awfully snuggley before.

Chloe's averageish when she's not possessed by Brainiac, which she isn't anymore. Well, above averageish--she has a healing power, which just about kills her to use. But she grew up with Clark, and she's been his info-gal since the start, and she's known his secret since S3. And she's been hanging with the SV JLA since they got their start (or before with Impulse), so going full time as Watchtower was sort of in the cards ever since Green Arrow got the team all organized. :)

Jimmy's kind of strung out on morphine and Davis's Gaslight plot, and the way he was looking at those pills, he's not likely to be big on rational thought for the foreseeable future.
