Why?

What's the deal with writers in SpN taking their stuff down? It's just real odd, because I only remember maybe two or three SV writers doing that but it seems like it's a sport for SpN writers. It's just kind of weird to me. I guess if RL comes inconveniently knocking, a person might be forced to do that. Or like, maybe they got Jesus, or something. I don't have to worry about that, everybody knows what I do, and really...once you're past fifty, hardly anyone gives a shit what you do, as long as you do it with your clothes on. However, once I shuffle off this mortal coil, I can definitely imagine BG hunting down all my shit and erasing it--burning my notebooks in the front yard, screaming, "She wrote stories about fluffy kittens, not gay porn!!!"

But don't worry, The Niece will hook you up--it's in the will. Spread my stories far and wide! Fly, little pornlets, fly!

*koff* going back to work now....

Oooooooh, Ms. Thang.
*dies laughing*

I find flocked recs/fic infuriating. Catch me friending just to read your fic? I think not.

And people taking stuff down annoy me, too. I mean, okay, so you're not so obsessed with, say, Harry Potter anymore. Why would you take your fic down? People still probably like it.

Of course, then you have certain people who take their stuff down 'cause their *vanity* publisher said so, even though all they did was file the serial numbers off their wildly ooc fic in the first place....

*cough*

Yeah. Those people i just point and laugh at.

It *does* rock to be old. I don't give a flying fuck who knows what i write. Wincest, pr0n, whatever. Do not care!
:)

Testify, woman! *nodnod*

Pretty much everyone knows what I write here as well, even my hubby, (who just pretends that massive homoerotic subtext does not exist on SV,) and I can't imagine why people suddenly have a change of heart or whatever to that degree to yank down stuff they've worked so hard on. (*giggle* I said hard on!)

Anyway, writers should be proud of what they write, no matter what comes along. I love your stuff, and I love that you're here!! *HUGS*

Your icon. Jesus.

And yeah, see, the fact that people in your life even know to ask what you're writing is a step farther than I've taken it.

"Blocking out a blowjob" is a funny phrase.

I KNOW, right? I snagged a bunch of them over on IJ.

Stopped all of her WiPs and started writing religious stories. To that, I can only say, "Jesus!"

That's it! I don't get that either! So much work--and I don't know about anyone else, but I'm all about the ego boo of having instant feed back. :)

When I like a story enough to think I might want to read it again, it automatically gets saved to my laptop. I love all these women writing stories on the internet, but I do not trust them. Well, I mean, I trust them not to, like, kill my cat and take the last poptart, but not to make sure I always have exactly the fic I need forever and ever.

I figure, if anyone I'm not open with finds my journal they'll be more reeling for the fact that I like chicks than from the fact I occasionally write stories with boysex in them. *gratuitous icon comment*

yeah, apparently my kid doesn't--in her world, it's entirely possible someone'll break in our house and do just that, and it'll be my fault for coaxing them to us with my LJ. *G*

omg...you like chicks???????
