I started it last night on the plane! It's very enjoyable. She seems to have a good feel for how different sex-related behaviors were before the sexual revolution of the 60s--her depiction of the Danneel character, slumming with the bad boys in secret at least gives a nod to this.
I'm all for smoothing over some of the hard lines between "then" and "now" in a period piece, but one anachronism I don't accept easily is that in most cultures, in most periods of history, two men gettin' it on was extremely dangerous. I'm never happy to read a story that glosses over that simple fact.
If her Danneel-Jensen relationship is any indication so far, the author isn't going to let me down.
