Ah ha! We were talking about the hot brands back in the day, kind of staggering down memory lane. :)

Me! I had an awesome pair of white ones with pink and mint green trim and the three pairs of shoelaces. Totally rad.

LOL! I have no idea why this even came up today--it's one of *those* days. My kids were in a 'no labels' stage at the time. That went entirely by the wayside for BG, MissLabelGirl, but the Niece still eschews such trivialities...*G*

*Raises hand*

Hot pink and white high-tops with a silver sparkly 'La Gear' logo on them. I thought I was rather cool. :p Of course I think I got them at like Ross or some discount store a year after they were really cool to own. :p

I had a pair of sneakers, and they had some sort of fake dog tag thing on them with the LA Gear logo on them.

I never once owned anything by them. It. Uh. Whatever. For Lo! I was not stylish.
:)

I did have lace-up leather knee-high moccasins with fringe, though, in high school. That i wore to school.
Yes yes.

I had a couple pairs and they always killed my feet. I bought a pair of cowboy boots and I've never wanted to wear sneakers since (though I do).

But I got mine when everyone was moving on to British Knights or Adidas. I was always behind the fashion curve (still am). I was still wearing flower pants while everyone was wearing acid washed jeans.

Yep. They're the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I've had them for over 10 yrs, can go months or years without wearing them and slip them on and they're a perfect fit. I have problems with my feet and they throw my balance a certain way so that it takes the pressure off my heels.

I've never owned a pair of sneakers that were as comfortable as a pair of good boots. Another one of those Catwoman traits ;)

I did. Can't remember what color the shoes proper were, but there were two pairs of laces, purple and teal, and I couldn't manage the two pair lace-up, so I just used the purple. They actually still make them; my mom bought a pair at Meijer a couple months ago.

OMG! Acid wash jeans, the horror.

You know I think there trying to bring those back though. Ugh.

My dad actually has a pair of acid washed light blue denim shorts that have a velcro, yeah i wrote velcro, closure instead of a button. I try to rid him of them every season when I go through his closet and set up for the year. hehehe.

I think I was to young to remember when lagear was cool or to young to care that la gear was cool, but I remember adidas. I still buy Adidas!

Remeber parachute pants? geez we were all dorks back then!

As I recall....they were white with pink and silver lettering, and the shoelaces had bits of sparkly silver stuff woven into them. I don't think I've those about those shoes in 25 years! But I'd kinda like to have those shoelaces again. ;)

I had to sneak Mr. R's acid wash jeans out of the closet, along with the shirts with the lapel that rested on the shoulders, they were so wide, when he was on an overnight trip...guys. They just can't let it go.

I've seen a couple of kids wearing those and prayed that it was an anomaly.

LOL! Nooooo. The velcro just brings it to another level of wrongness.

I had a pair ::buries head:: but I knew I couldn't pull it off so I never wore them. But I did like my friend's brother and he wore them. I was so smitten with him that I didn't even think to be horrified and repelled.
